TxDMV - Organizational Change Management - Summer Internship
This position is required to work onsite at TxDMV headquarters located in Austin, TX (subject to change). This is a summer internship position that will end no later than August, 31, 2026.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our mission at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) is to serve, protect and advance the citizens and industries in the state with quality motor vehicle related services. We are a dynamic state agency dedicated to customer service, consumer protection and the success of motor vehicle-related industries.
Summer Internships are available at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV). The Summer Internship positions are available to students enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school. Summer Internships are paid, full-time, temporary employment positions that begin no earlier than May 15, 2026, and ends no later than August 31, 2026.
This Summer Internship position will assist with a variety of activities supporting stakeholder engagement, communications, and change readiness for the Registration and Titling System (RTS) modernization program for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, in the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). This intern works under direct supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The successful candidate must exhibit high standards of excellence and integrity, and always display, to all persons, a courteous, professional, and cooperative attitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assisting with development and maintenance of Organizational Change Management (OCM) deliverables, including stakeholder lists and communication plans.
Supporting stakeholder engagement activities, including preparing meeting materials, summaries, and tracking action items.
Helping draft internal communications related to program updates, milestones, and upcoming changes impacting the TxDMV staff and external partners.
Conducting light research and analysis to support change readiness efforts, including reviewing feedback from the county Tax Assessor-Collectors (TACs) and identifying common themes or concerns.
Assisting with organization of program documentation and collaboration materials for the Quality Assurance Team (QAT).
Required to attend work regularly and adhere to approved work hours in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled or graduated within the past 12 months from an accredited college, university, vocational, trade, or technical school with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
At least 18 years of age
Eligible to work in the United States
We will require an official transcript to be provided to Human Resources for review prior to starting with TxDMV.
