Job Description
The Austin, Texas office of United States Senator John Cornyn is currently seeking multiple interns for the 2017 spring semester. Duties of an internship in the Senator's office will include: answering phone calls, providing support services to staff, assisting staff with the U.S. Service Academy application process, staffing Official U.S. Senate events, helping to maintain the front office and completing other administrative duties as assigned. Prospective applicants should have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, be detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task, and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications on Windows operating systems. Applicants must have a high school diploma and have completed at least one semester of college classes. *Previous office experience is preferred, but not required. *Part time and full time internships are available. *All internship positions are unpaid.
