Job Description: 
The campaign for Jennie Birkholz for State Representative (House District 52) is seeking a team (1-2) of highly organized, professional, and responsive Volunteer Coordinator Interns. We are seeking a motivated Volunteer Coordinator to oversee our campaign's volunteer program and ensure that volunteers are effectively engaged and deployed to support our campaign goals. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, personable, and committed to building a strong grassroots movement. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of volunteers and make a meaningful impact on the outcome of the election. Applicants must be available to work part-time (15 hours per week). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy to attract a diverse group of volunteers from within the community; Create volunteer job descriptions and training materials to onboard and orient new volunteers to the campaign; - Coordinate volunteer scheduling and assignments for various campaign activities, including canvassing, phone banking, voter registration drives, and event staffing; - Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and motivation to ensure a positive volunteer experience; - Collaborate with campaign staff to integrate volunteer efforts into broader campaign strategies and initiatives; - Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases, including contact information, availability, and areas of interest or expertise; - Keep up-to-date on Texas politics and current events in the legislature.
