Job Description:
The Zo for Austin campaign is seeking applicants for a summer 2022 campaign fellowship. Fellows will be expected to:
Volunteer up to 5 hours a week
Assist with special projects
Participate in weekly fellowship calls
Actively engage with guest speakers and educational opportunities for fellows
Preference is given to those with:
Previous experience on a political campaign at any level
Professional fluency with languages in addition to English, especially Spanish
Flexibility to take on new projects and responsibilities
Project leadership and a self-starter attitude for creative problem solving
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Access to transportation within the city of residence
A reliable cell phone
Term: June 2022 to August 2022
Zohaib “Zo” Qadri is a progressive leader running to bring change to Austin’s District 9. Austin is Zo’s home - where he’s gone to school, started his family, and dedicated his life to public service. The residents of District 9 are his neighbors, friends, and family, and he knows we all deserve resources from our city that will help us succeed. With a background as a community organizer, Zo is fighting not only to bring historic representation and voices to Council that haven't had a seat at the table, but also to fight tirelessly for solutions to our affordability and housing crisis, climate action, racial justice, and more.
