For a respondent’s opinion to be considered in our primary trial ballot estimates, he or she had to have participated in a Texas party primary in 2012, 2014, or 2016.

2018 Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Vote Choice (February 2018)
Respondents were asked, "If the 2018 Democratic primary election for governor were held today, which of the following candidates would you vote for, or haven't you thought about it enough to have an opinion?" Primary voters were identified based on their participation in a Texas primary election in 2012, 2014, or 2016. For Republican trial ballots, this includes 612 likely Republican primary voters. For Democratic trial ballots, this includes 453 likely Democratic primary voters.

Primary voters were identified based on their participation in a Texas primary election in 2012, 2014, or 2016. For Republican trial ballots, this includes 612 likely Republican primary voters. For Democratic trial ballots, this includes 453 likely Democratic primary voters.
