Comments:
The Sierra Club is the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. We amplify the power of our 3.5+ million members and supporters to defend everyone’s right to a healthy world. Today, there’s a serious set of challenges ahead: a warming climate, unprecedented levels of pollution, and powerful special interests undermining basic protections. There’s no time to waste in coming together for new solutions – which is why the Sierra Club is bringing people together to build the most powerful and effective environmental movement the world has ever seen. In Austin, Texas, the Sierra Club is building a grassroots community of people committed to fight climate change in every area possible: working for clean electric energy and clean transportation, for climate and social justice, in opposition to the unnecessary Permian Highway Pipeline through the Hill Country near Austin, in support of energy efficient building and other sustainability programs, action on state and national policies, etc. We work through advocacy, education, partner organizations, and organizing. If you want to work with us in this cause, if you want to learn from seasoned organizers and fighters, if you want this experience as a stepping-stone to your career, consider applying for our Climate Change Organizing Intern position. Whether or not you do apply, please help the Sierra Club keep fighting for Earth's natural resources.
