Job Description

This internship is designed to be a hands-on learning experience, offering exposure to political communications, digital storytelling, and the legislative process. 

 
This role entails: 
- Keeping up with daily news clips.
- Creating social media posts that align with the office's mission.
- Supporting Communications Director with newsletters, talking points, press releases, and more. 
- A commitment for duration of the 90th Legislative Session (January 12 - May 31, 2027). 
 
The preferred candidate: 
- Is a current student or recent grad. 
- Available most mornings during the work week.
- Is a strong and adaptable writer. 
- Has a demonstrated interest in Texas politics and current events.
- Has familiarity with content creation tools, including software like Canva, Capcut, and Adobe. 
- Can communicate in Spanish. 
 
The primary work location for this internship is in person at the Texas Capitol in Austin, TX. A small monthly stipend may be available.
