Position Overview
Cultivar Communities’ Activator Leadership Fellows serve as the organization’s community-facing leaders, helping families build financial knowledge, develop long-term financial habits, and take concrete steps toward building generational wealth. Fellows receive training and certification in Cultivar’s Money Moves curriculum and lead or support family activations in workplaces, schools, and community organizations.

Over the course of the fellowship, Fellows combine direct community engagement, project leadership, financial education, and program evaluation to help families move from financial learning to action.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Cultivar’s Money Moves training and certification and become qualified to deliver the curriculum to families and community groups.

• Lead or support family activation programs in workplaces, schools, and community organizations.

• Facilitate the full activation process, including an initial family gathering, a guided two-to-three-week home phase, and a follow-up gathering.

• Deliver Cultivar’s five Identity Shifts consistently throughout activations: I am an investor; I am a good ancestor; I am growing money for future me; I am building generational wealth; I am part of the American economy.

• Lead approximately three activation arcs or support approximately five, collectively reaching at least 50 families.

• Design and execute an independent Activator Project that moves a defined group of families toward a measurable financial action.

• Develop an Activator Project focused on a specific community or outreach channel, establish measurable participation and action goals, apply Cultivar’s Learn / Build / Grow framework, and create a plan for sustaining the project beyond the fellowship.

• Track participation, outcomes, and program activities and submit required event documentation and releases within 48 hours of each activation.

• Participate in peer committees, team meetings, individual check-ins, semester reflections, and program surveys.

• Present Activator Project results and lessons learned at the Activator Showcase.

• Represent Cultivar Communities at the Cultivar New Orleans Summit and other required program events.

Time Commitment
Approximately 4–6 hours per week from October 2026 through May 2027, including team sessions, family activations, project work, and program meetings. Time commitments may increase during activation periods and around the New Orleans Summit.

Required Program Commitments

• Weekly or twice-weekly cohort team sessions

• Two individual check-ins per semester with a program lead

• Monthly peer committee calls

• Semester reflections and an end-of-year Activator Impact Brief

• Background check prior to events involving minors

• Opportunity to travel to Culivar's New Orleans Summit for free in January
