Field Campaign Intern
Help get the word out about out campaign among UT students!
We are a local, insurgent, anti-establishment campaign to take back Austin City Council from big-money interests. Former UT Urban Studies professor, Rich Heyman, is running for Austin City Council, District 9 (central Austin, including UT and West Campus), to fight for the working people of Austin against the status quo at City Hall that continues to give tax breaks to billion-dollar companies while the majority of Austinites struggle to afford their daily needs of food, shelter, healthcare, education, and transportation. We have a plan to win this seat; with your help, we can make it happen!
The person in this position will help distribute campaign materials around UT and West Campus and inform voters about Rich’s campaign.
As we get nearer election day, November 2, you will also help organize and train campaign volunteers: communicate with volunteers before, during, and after canvassing/door-knocking events, make assignments for volunteers, etc. Keep track of and properly record canvassing progress. Promptly apprise candidate or campaign of problems/issue/needs for field operations, including anticipating when to order more campaign flyers. Assist in developing new canvassing materials.
We're looking to fill multiple positions!
