Job Description
Job Description: The office of Senator Kelly Hancock is seeking an in-person legislative intern for the duration of the 89th Legislative Session. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Research and writing assistance; • Answering constituent phone calls; • Sorting and distributing mail; • Logging constituent requests and concerns in legislative correspondence database; • Circulating news clips; and • Other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: The position is open to all undergraduate and graduate students; prior employment in an office setting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate: • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills; • Is proficient in Microsoft Office programs; • Is organized, focused, and able to multi-task; • Completes tasks efficiently and thoroughly with close attention to detail; and • Maintains workplace decorum and confidentiality.
