Job Description: 
This position requires strong demonstrated writing and clear communication skills; must be able to multi-task and meet critical deadlines; formulate and research legislative issues regarding certain policy areas; serve as the Representative's liaison in meeting with constituents, state agencies, interest groups and other legislative offices; monitor legislation and upcoming votes for committees on which the Representative serves; compile background information and draft talking points for committee hearings and floor debates; write legislative correspondences, speeches, and talking points; and other duties as assigned by the Representative and/or chief of staff.
