Job Description
The Capitol office of State Representative Lyle Larson seeks to fill a part-time, unpaid internship position for the 85th Legislative Session, during weekday morning hours. This is a great opportunity to get valuable firsthand experience in a fast-paced legislative office. The Legislative Intern will research past and current legislation, coordinate special projects, greet guests, answer phones, attend briefings and events, and assist with other office duties as needed. He/she will also assist with constituent correspondence via mail, email, and social media outlets. We ask that applicants have well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills, solid computer and writing skills, effective communication skills, be professional in appearance, and display a strong work ethic. Applicants should also have an avid interest in government and the legislative process.
