Summer Data Analytics Internship
Governor Greg Abbott's political campaign is looking for interns for this Summer. Specifically, you will be working with the campaign's data department.
You will work on various projects at the directon of the campaign's data director, including doing research (i.e. historical election results), analyzing data (on Microsoft Excel) or running queries to pull different datasets (on SQL Server). You may also have to do some general intern tasks, such as helping with the office phones, going through e-mail correspondence and more.
This is a part-time, in-person internship at the campaign office in Downtown Austin. It is an unpaid internship, but many of our previous interns have transitioned into paid part-time and full-time roles with the campaign, as well as secured other internships and positions at the Texas Capitol, U.S. Capitol and more.
Governor Greg Abbott has one of the most robust campaign operations in the country, often regarded as the largest non-presidential campaign. If you're interested in learning the inner workings of Texas politics, elections and campaigns, and have an interest in data or analytics, this position is for you.
No previous political/campaign experience is required, although always welcome.
