Job Description: 
service who are interested in assisting with day-to-day tasks at our Capitol office and learning about the legislative process. This internship will offer the chance to build strong skillsets in advocating for constituent concerns, developing and researching legislative ideas, and communicating policy decisions. Our office is looking for applicants who can work a minimum of 15 hours per week during the Spring or Summer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Strong written and verbal skills; • Strong organizational skills; • A passion for social justice; • A knowledge of Texas or national political issues; • No prior legislative experience is required JOB DUTIES INCLUDE • Answering phones and greeting visitors with professionalism; • Onboarding and responding to constituent correspondence, and collaborating with state agencies to address constituent issues; • Researching legislation and policy areas of interest to the Representative; • Preparing bill analyses as required; • Attending meetings with issue experts and producing briefing memos
