Public Citizen Texas seeks motivated applicants for Field Organizer (FOs) positions for the campaigns of John Hoffner and Stephen Thomas for the Board of Directors of Pedernales Electric Cooperative. This position provides hands-on experience in the ins and outs of political campaign organizing and a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in our community. FOs will be responsible for direct voter contact via door-to-door canvassing and/or phone banking. Position-specific training will be provided. All FOs will be contract workers with compensation starting at $24/hour, with gas reimbursements for transportation during shifts. Ideal candidates are self-starters, personable, and eager to learn and grow professionally. A functional cell phone and reliable transportation are required. All necessary training will be provided. John Hoffner and Stephen Thomas are running for District 3 and 2 respectively, in order to increase transparency among PEC's Board of Directors, which includes addressing customer requests to move towards renewable energy and future technologies.
