The latest University of Texas / Texas Politics Project Poll finds Democratic candidates with narrow advantages within the poll's margin of error among likely voters in most statewide races. Economic concerns remain high and front-of-mind for voters.

Respondents were asked, "If the 2026 election for Railroad Commissioner were held today, and the candidates were the Republican Bo French, the Democrat Jon Rosenthal, and the Libertarian Arthur DiBianca, who would you vote for, or haven’t you thought enough about it to have an opinion?"
